Resumo

This paper presents a summary of the PhD thesis with the same name. Specifically, the following issues are addressed: 1) Development of a calibration method of the physical parameters for ferroelectric liquid crystal modulators, 2) use of ferroelectric liquid crystal modulators in diffractive optics and polarization, and 3) use of multiple characterization techniques to assess the quality of the computer generated holograms to be fabricated on silicon wafers
