She is a member of the board of directors of communication the Spanish Society of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (SEIMC) as well as a Spanish representative of the European Union of Specialist Doctors (UEMS). In addition, she is an associate editor of high impact factor international journal (JAC-AMR and Microbiology Spectrum). Finally, she participates as a panel Expert/Reviewer in the of national (Call for Strategic Action in Health-ISCIII) and European funding agencies. -PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYMENT Maria Tomás is a coordinator of the Microbiology Translational and Multidisciplinary (MicroTM) from Research Institute Biomedical A Coruña (INIBIC) which is constitute by 15 people and belong to the HUAC microbiology department (made up of 50 microbiologist and technicians) since 2010 (http://www.inibic.es/MicroTM). She has: i) Publications: more than 110 publications (95 first quartile) in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science, 6809 citations, h factor = 41, i10 factor = 77; ii) Thesis: Director of 5 defended doctoral theses (3 international mention) and currently supervises 5 PhD students at Micro-TM-INIBIC; iii) Projects: 11 Projects as Principal Investigator (PI) of which 6 research projects and 5 innovation projects. Cooordinator Phage Therapy MePRAM CIBER project, 4.399.500 euros and iv) Patents: 3 on clinical microbiology diagnosis, 2 international (PCT / EP2017 / 069849 and Argentina, 19083725) and a national patent (Spain, ES2449665);
