Abstract

In this Doctoral Thesis, new synthetic applications of the cross-coupling reaction of indium(III) organometallics with hereroaromatic electrophiles catalyzed by palladium complexes are described. Firstly, the cross-coupling reactions of triorganoindium with 2,4,5-trihaloimidazoles are studied and the synthesis of the bioactive compound Neurodazine is described. Later, the synthesis of symmetrical and non-symmetrical 4,6-disubstituted 2-(4-morpholinyl)pyrimidines by sequential and multiple cross-coupling reactions with organoindiums is described. Finally, the synthesis and photophysical and electrochemical properties of a new symmetric and non-symmetric push-pull systems based on trisubstituted pyrimidine by palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of triorganoindium reagents are developed.
