Resumo
Justifications for and against prophylactic exodontias of asymptomatic impacted third molars have been offered. Several studies have shown that the risk of development of pathoses correlated to these teeth is low. Despite absolute indications and contraindications for removal of asymptomatic wisdom teeth cannot be established, in this work we defend the arguments for the selective exodontia of asymptomatic impacted third molars.
