Resumo

Primwy malignant melanoma of the oral cavity is a rare lesion. There have been no significant change in prognosis in malignant melanoma in recent decades. This makes the kn.owledge of its characteristics and presen.tation matter of particular concern to practitioners striving to improve survival rates. A clinical case of melan.oma of the hard palate and inferior nasal septum, treated surgically, is presented, an.d its clinical an.d therapeutic implications are analyzed.
