Abstract

The skin is an ecosystem that hosts a great variety of microbial communities that live interacting with each other through a complex balance of survival, inhabiting different physiological and topographical niches along the human anatomy. Knowing which microbial communities reside and colonize our skin in a natural way is considered useful and necessary information to avoid certain risk exposures of our greatest protection organ and to improve its preservation, preventing its premature alteration and infection.
