Acciones para incrementar el uso de la Prestación Dental Infantil en Andalucía

Resumo

Background: the dental benefit in the population from 6 to 15 years of age in Andalusia presents a descendant annual utilization rate in the past four years. This study has objective to generate proposals to increase the utilization rate of the child dental benefit through the creation of a group of experts in management oral. Methods: the Technique of Nominal Group, method of consensus in qualitative research that has brought together a group of 8 experts, one for each province of Andalusia, to present their ideas in a structured way the question has used. Interaction between experts has made it possible to prioritize the recommendations through rounds of discussion and voting end. Results: priority ideas were: 1. Promote the diffusion and the child dental benefit information, 2. Penalize the population in need of restorative treatment without prior demand, 3. Encourage professional according to annual recruitment of users, 4. Increase the healthcare network, 5. Audits on actions professionals. Conclusions: to avoid that the continuity of preventive action can compromise the results of the use of the infant dental provision in Andalusia, actions are needed for upgrading and reorientation of the programme.
