Abstract
Subcutaneous emphysema can appear when air infiltrates under subcutaneous tissues. The most common locations are the thoracic wall and the neck. Upon palpation crepitation can be heard. These complications occur mostly after dental extractions or repairs, in a smaller number of cases after endodontic therapies or periodontal treatments
