Resumo

Un cuidado humanizado es el resultado del perfecto engranaje de una cadena en la que la compasión es un eslabón imprescindible. La compasión como experiencia humana juega un importante papel en la atención sanitaria. A través de la compasión las enfermeras y cualquier otro profesional sanitario reconocen el sufrimiento de un paciente, y ese reconocimiento viene acompañado de una respuesta interna al sufrimiento y la intención de aliviar el sufrimiento a través de la presencia, la palabra y la acción.
