Resumo

The process of teaching and learning in the field of vocational training has as its main goal the acquisition of a range of skills that will qualify students to satisfactorily perform their professional work. The module called Labour Guidance and Training, is in every cycle of Initial Vocational Training; it is focused on a number of transferable skills of professional character as well as skills and knowledge related to job performance in any context. Given the specificity of this training module and the absence of explicit references in the current legislation on the most appropriate methodology for teaching, the authors of this article decided to investigate the suitability of using collaborative methodology. Since many authors are pointing out the benefits of this methodology such as the development of communication and socioaffective skills, we have analyzed through a qualitative research the possibility of using that methodology in teaching Labour Guidance and Training module.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15304/ie.25.2302
