Resumo

The presence of infection in a wound causes the evolution to be torpid and the healing process is slowed by it is essential the prevention of infection and the early detection of the same to achieve satisfactory results. Diabetic foot infections are most frequently produced by Gram (+), Staphylococcus aureus being the most common followed by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacteria. The aim of this study was to present a case of a third finger amputation injury in a diabetic foot with pseudomonas infection; and how their infection management was carried out.
