Abstract

The constancy of unsafe practices due to adverse errors and effects in surroundings that aspire to contribute to sureness and safety has been reason for concern, when not perplexity. For that reason, the security strategy for patients has become a priority in the political agendas of many countries. The concern for safety has been a historical constant feature and the basis of theories formulated by the scientific doctrine of nursing. Safety was considered one of the most important necessities for man, and at the same time, the responsibility that nursing has in the maintenance and attainment it self. This study tries an ethical-legal approach to the strategy of patient safety and its implications for nursing.
