Abstract

The objective is to analyze the distribution of enrollments by sex in the specialties of Master and Bachelor of Physical Activity and Sport of the universities in Galicia. The hypothesis is that the traditional values of gender and women's disinterest in the sport translated into different choices of university studies related to teaching and sport. The methodology discusses the sources of college enrollment by gender. The results show that the feminization generally affects studies teachers, while the masculinization affects studies on physical activity and sport. We conclude that the effective socialization in the traditional values of gender and women's disinterest in the sport phenomenon would explain the choice differential
